The Indian Roller{Neelkanth}

 Today, I saw the most beautiful bird flying around the garden. It seems to be one of the most attractive birds in the world, it has a beautiful blue throat with delightful feathers in blue and greenish color. While flying it looks so beautiful and calm with lots of peace. By seeing this bird we feel so blessed and joyful. Are you excited to know about this bird, so let's get started? The name of this bird is Neelkanth which is popular in mythological stories, the name of the is also elegant same as the bird.

NEELKANTH

Did you what does the Neelkanth bird eats? So here it is, The Neelkanth is an Omnivorous bird it usually eats tree seeds, shrubs, grain, and insects like grasshoppers, earthworms, small reptiles, butterflies, etc. Now it's time to know more about the Neelkanth, The English name of the Neelkanth is The Indian Roller. One ritual is there related to The Indian Roller. Indian people catch or buy it from somewhere and released during Durga pooja(Dusshera). It is also believed that The holy bird Neelkanth is blessed with Lord Vishnu. As we know that The Indian Roller is very popular in mythological stories like, Neelkanth which means blue throat connecting with Lord Siva, during Sagar Manthan Lord Siva drunk poison due to which throat turned to blue, and after Lord Siva got another name "Neelkanth".

 It is also believed that seeing The Indian Roller and worshipping Shami Tree during Durga Pooja and Dusshera brings prosperity and luck to your life. As we know that Neelkanth is blessed with Lord Vishnu and together it is said that in Ramayana after seeing Neelkanth Shri Rama killed Ravana. The Indian Rollet is found in Southern and Western India as well as in the Foothills of the Himalayas.
